For those of you have utilized my website previously, it has changed significantly since its initial implementation. Schoology, an online learning management system, has been adopted by the Westerville City Schools, and has since replaced the need for this website. The links to left no longer contain course materials as these have all been relocated to the Schoology website, which is viewed through specific student logins. However, the Physical Science link and Introduction to Engineering & Design link will still contain uploaded videos and podcasts specific to each course. Although, a few are present for Physical Science, Introduction to Engineering & Design has a rather extensive collection. The course uses many explanatory videos that are more easily viewed using the support system operated through my website. These videos offer students the chance to view and review CAD techniques used throughout the course. The advantage of viewing here is that these videos may be reversed to access key information whereas through the Schoology system the videos may only be reviewed by returning to the beginning of the video.
Each of my classes uses a homework messaging system supported by Remind. This platform allows me to send assignment messages as texts or email alerts depending upon the student or parent request. The Remind class codes are as follows:
Physical Science(ELL) (classcode): physciell
Introduction to Engineering& Design (class code): wchsied
To sign up for these text alerts type @classcode to 81010. To sign up for an email alert send a blank email to firstname.lastname@example.org and you will receive a response with the necessary sign up instructions.
Should a student miss any class materials, those may be accessed on my Schoology account. Students missing class for any reason should always check their Schoology account regardless of a homework alert, to insure they have the necessary materials when they return to school.
