Juliet Bernard, a 2020 graduate of Westerville Central High School, is one of the approximate 3,300 recipients of a National Merit Scholarship financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Juliet, whose probable career field is medicine, won the National Merit Hillsdale College Scholarship. Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. This year, 167 higher education institutions are underwriting Merit Scholarship awards through the National Merit Scholarship Program.
