Approximately 1,200 members of the Class of 2020 received their diplomas Saturday, May 23, 2020, during drive-through ceremonies held at each high school. Thanks to our district’s ongoing partnership with OhioHealth, every graduate will receive a professional photograph of them receiving their diploma. This photo is free to families and provided at no additional cost to district taxpayers.
Graduates, families, and friends also joined together that morning to view a special Virtual Graduation Ceremony video produced for each school. Later in the day, community members showed their support for the Class of 2020 by participating in “Light the Path for the Class of 2020.” Participants displayed white ribbons in their yards and at 8:20 p.m. (20:20 military time), they lit real or electric candles to coincide with the lighting of each high school stadium.
