Kindergarten Registration Kicks Off with Kindergarten 101

Westerville City Schools invites parents to attend Kindergarten 101 - A Basic Introduction to Kindergarten in Westerville.   This will take place from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31 or Thursday, February 1, at each elementary school.  The same presentation will be given during each building’s designated Kindergarten 101 night.  Parents are encouraged to attend the presentation at their home school, but may choose the location that is most convenient for them.

  • January 31, 2018:  Alcott, Annehurst, Cherrington, Mark Twain, Pointview, Robert Frost, Wilder
  • February 1, 2018:  Fouse, Hawthorne, Huber Ridge, McVay, Whittier

This 60-minute program is designed for parents of incoming kindergarten students.  Participants can expect to receive information regarding Westerville’s registration process and an overview of kindergarten “gentle start” and assessments.  Kindergarten teachers will present information about kindergarten curriculum and expectations.  A question/answer session will follow the presentation.

Interpreters will be available as follows:

            Nepali:  Fouse and Mark Twain

            Somali:  Mark Twain

            Spanish: Fouse, Hawthorne and Pointview
