Central students sold lots of T-shirts before the “Pink Out” football game against Olentangy Orange.
Health Pathway students at Westerville Central High School recently teamed up to collect donations for the Inflammatory Breast Cancer (or IBC Network Foundation) in honor of Lori Gill Grennan. Grennan was a 1995 Westerville North graduate who later became a physician eventually and passed away from this disease. Inflammatory breast cancer is a very rare form of breast cancer and is often difficult to diagnosis, as symptoms can develop suddenly and appear as a rash instead of the typical lump. It is considered the most aggressive form of breast cancer with diagnosis starting at Stage 3. In only three days, Health Pathway students raised $1,570 for this worthy cause, with all proceeds being donated directly to IBC research. They achieved this goal through T-shirt sales for the “Pink Out” football game against Olentangy Orange, along with individual donations. Learn more at https://www.theibcnetwork.org/.
