Westerville Pupils Serve as Ambassadors at OHSAA’s Student Leadership Conference

Student ambassadors from Gahanna, Worthington and Westerville served at the massive leadership gathering.

 

 

 

On October 3, 15 students from North, South and Central represented the Westerville City School District as student ambassadors at the Ohio High School Athletic Association Foundation’s annual Student Leadership Conference, held in the Student Union at The Ohio State University.  With nearly 1,600 pupils in attendance, the conference is the largest student leadership meeting in the country.  Speakers were Matt Barnes, TV4 WCMH anchor; Harvey Alston, Best Inc. national speaker; Omari Pearson, author, speaker, consultant and professional basketball player; Adrienne Rosel Bulinski, motivational speaker and entertainer; and Hoan Do, motivational speaker and America’s Ninja Warrior competitor.

Twenty-five student ambassadors (15 from Westerville Schools) led the conference.  Greg Shehee, a senior at Westerville North, served as the master of ceremonies.  Westerville’s student ambassadors were LaBronz Davis and Camron Hubble, Westerville Central; Greg Shehee, Erica Mobley, Riley Welsheimer, Rondale Smith, Caden Crist, Anye Whipple and Megan Zody, Westerville North; and Maren Dorne, Emma Davidson, Meghan Bame, Jack Lovell, Bryce Wilson and Reece Marcelain, Westerville South.
