Central Marching Band members performed at two community events in Westerville last Sunday.
On Sunday, September 10, nearly 40 members of the Westerville Central High School Marching Band showed up to perform at Westerville Cops & Kids Day, in addition to WARM’s Great Westerville Food Truck Fest. Band director Doug Hildreth said his students were happy to provide music for such meaningful community activities.
Cops & Kids Day is designed to provide children the opportunity to interact with the law enforcement community, while learning about the vehicles, equipment, and technology that law enforcement personnel use. Agencies throughout the state attend this annual event, and cruisers, helicopters, motorcycles, tactical vehicles, and K-9s were on display.
The Westerville Area Resource Ministry’s fifth annual Great Westerville Food Truck Fest featured 30 of the best local food trucks serving some of the best meals in Columbus. Community members helped package more than 10,000 meals to be distributed throughout Westerville.
