The Westerville Central Boys Bowling team and coaches were lauded by the Board of Education for bringing home a State Title.
The Westerville Central High School Boys Bowling Team, coached by Julie Wells, was recognized by the Board of Education and Superintendent on Monday evening, April 10, for a 3-0 win over Wapakoneta to earn their first State Title in the Division I Boys Bowling State Tournament. The contest was held on Saturday, March 11, at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl. They received resolutions acknowledging an exhilarating and historic season of competition, and thanking them for representing the Westerville City School District and community with honor and distinction. Team members are Alex Fleetwood, Cameron Gonce, Zach Gonzalez, Ben Lorenz, Wesley Minke, Ryan O’Connor, Nick Owsiak and Devon Richardson. Assistant coaches are Mark Gonce, Ron Lapping and Jeff Robinson.
