A new club at Westerville Central High School seems to be picking up steam with both students and staff. Each Wednesday, from the time school lets out until about 5:00 p.m., raucous laughter can be heard emanating from the Media Center, where a tabletop board game club titled “Hawk Boared Gamers” is taking place. Participants can choose from dozens of board games to play, pitting students against each other as well as special guest players including a number of teachers and even Principal Todd Spinner. Organizer Geoff Mize says the program is “giving kids another way to be involved with the school and make positive connections with each other.”
