The Westerville Scholarship Foundation of the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce is lacing up their bowling shoes for the 2017 Westerville Community Bowl-A-Thon, taking place on Saturday, February 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace.

This event is more than just a fun game of bowling.  Through the combined efforts of the Westerville Scholarship Foundation, the Westerville Education Foundation and the Westerville Symphony, the Westerville Community Bowl-A-Thon serves as the largest Westerville fundraiser benefiting Westerville students.  All funds raised goes directly to providing scholarships to students of all ages, funding grants to educators and offering musical performances and programs to classrooms in Westerville.

The Bowl-A-Thon is looking for community supporters to bowl in the most competitive, yet friendly, bowling challenge to date.  Local executives, community advocates and business owners are signing up to compete during one friendly game of bowling for the “Golden Pin.”  The only skill required is a generous heart for the mission of the organization and a passion for Westerville.

“I love the camaraderie and competition between all the executive bowlers, many who are long time participants.  The event is a lot of fun and I have a great time.  The proceeds go to three organizations that I love to support.” said Bob Gibson, executive bowler.

If you or your business is interested in partnering with the Bowl-A-Thon through the Executive Bowler Challenge, we encourage you to register during the month of November.  Will you take home the “Golden Pin” in 2017?  There are only 64 spots available for Executive Bowlers so register today!

Executive Bowlers donate $500 per bowler to the event which supports the missions of the Westerville Education Foundation, Scholarship Foundation and Symphony.   In return, bowlers receive brand recognition through the event’s website, social media platforms and press releases, as well as during the day of the event through signage and giveaways.  Executives will receive a fun afternoon of networking and banter and a provided lunch.  All donations are tax deductible as allowed by the IRS.
