Friends, fans and family members packed the stadium at Westerville North High School on Saturday, October 15, for the fifth annual Mid-States Band Association Marching Band Invitational. Host Westerville North performed in exhibition and Westerville Central competed with Grove City Christian High School, Grove City; Olentangy High School, Lewis Center; Northeastern High School, Springfield; Marion Harding High School, Marion; and Raceland-Worthington High School, Raceland, Kentucky.
Olentangy High School took the Grand Champion award, and Marion Harding was the Reserve Grand Champion. In Class A, Grove City Christian placed first and Raceland Worthington second. In Class AAA, Westerville Central was first and Northeastern second. In Class AAAA, Olentangy was first, followed by Marion Harding in second. Overall winner of Percussion, Color Guard, Music, Visual and General Effect was Olentangy.

Proceeds from the event benefited music programs at Westerville North.
