On April 2, at OSU fencing facility, the Steelwood Fencing Center in Columbus, Westerville Central High School junior Kelli Wozniak earned a State Title in Saber by defeating Dublin Coffman’s Victoria Sabo 15-4 in the championship match.
Remarkably, she was ill in the days leading up to the match and from October to January, she couldn’t train due to a foot injury. Even more astonishing is the fact that Wozniak won her first state title in saber as an eighth grader and won each of her first three prep seasons as well, meaning she enters next season as a four-time state champion.
