Key Club District Leadership Conference Yields Top Awards for Westerville Students

Students from the Westerville City School District attended the Key Club District Leadership Conference at Dublin Embassy Suites from March 11-13, and many walked away with awards and important assignments.

Westerville Central announced that Prestin Minter was elected as Ohio District Key Club Governor for 2016-2017.  Also in attendance from Central were Sakhi Patel, named Distinguished Key Club President; Tiffany Eng, Distinguished Key Club Vice President; and Heather Freytag, Distinguished Key Club Treasurer.  Kellie Mori also attended to represent Central.

Central’s club was also recognized for their efforts with Trick or Treat for UNICEF, turning dues in early, and for participating in International Key Club Week (by wearing shirts, hosting a bake sale, and making a thank you banner for teachers).  In addition, Central’s Key Club Advisor Jennifer Horn walked away with the Outstanding Faculty Advisor award.

Westerville South High School attendee Kendra Asiedu was named Lieutenant Governor for next year.  Key Club advisor at South is Lisa Baughman.
