The Westerville Parent Council is sponsoring a parent workshop entitled, Assessment Literacy Night for Parents. The session will be presented by Dr. Scott Ebbrecht, director of assessment and alternative education for Westerville City Schools. The free event will take place from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, in the Westerville Central High School auditorium, which is located at 7118 Mount Royal Avenue in Westerville.
The workshop will provide an opportunity for parents to:
- Learn about the standardized tests and state assessments their children will be taking in grades K-12 and what is exactly measured;
- Gain insight about how to further prepare their children for testing; and
- Better interpret the parent reports that are sent home detailing their children’s scores.
