There is no shortage of spirit in the Westerville City School District, as evidenced on Friday nights when students, staff, parents and community members pack the local football stadiums to cheer for their beloved Warhawks, Warriors and Wildcats.

Last Friday, when Westerville South High School took on Olentangy for the season home opener, the stadium was packed with raucous fans.  Cheerleaders cheered, the marching band strutted their stuff, and concessions and souvenirs were sold by an army of volunteers.  As an added bonus, school officials (including Principal Steve Andersson and Vice Principal Michael Hinze) perched in a dunk tank where students could take a shot for the bargain price of just $1.  Money raised benefited the school’s International Baccalaureate program.
