Westerville Middle School Students Succeed in Laws of Life Essay Contest

Winners of the Central Ohio Laws of Life Essay Contest.

 

 

 

All four Westerville middle schools participated in the 2019 Central Ohio BBB Laws of Life Essay Contest, a competition of the best Laws of Life essays written about core values by middle grade students in a 21-county Central Ohio service area.  The program is supported in Westerville City Schools by the Gifted Education and English Language Arts departments.  Finalists, along with their teachers and families, were invited to an awards banquet on May 9 at the Wendy’s Headquarters in Dublin.  Results follow.   

  • Tori Readnour (Genoa, teacher Kara Reiter), second place, Best Overall Essay;
  • Cori Bohan (Walnut Springs, Janice Hill), third place, Best Overall Essay;
  • Uzoma Fah (Blendon, Briana Swanson), first place,  Best 8th Grade Essay; and
  • Ella Kacsandi (Heritage, Mary Schade), third place, Best 6th Grade Essay.
