As a follow up to the Girls and Boys Middle School Summits that took place earlier this school year (September 2018), girls, last month, had the opportunity to reconnect and share their progress.  The Amazing Tei Street from Street Talk visited all four Westerville middle schools – Blendon, Genoa, Heritage and Walnut Springs – to re-energize student leaders who were selected by teachers for the follow up session.  She asked the group to recollect their thoughts of the time they spent together in the fall, and to hone in on how they felt before and after the Summit, recalling the highlights of that day.  “It’s important to know how you feel about the space(s) you’re in so you can make the necessary changes required for growth.” Advised Street.   Students were challenged to become change agents in their school and to help set the tone for girls in their building.
