On March 18, 19, and 20, sixth grade students from Walnut Springs Middle School took a trip to New York City they will not likely forget soon. The group saw major landmarks including Times Square, the 9-11 Memorial, Wall Street, Federal Hall, Trinity Church, the Math Museum, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock, Central Park, Ellen’s Stardust Diner, Anastasia on Broadway, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Pupils and chaperones returned exhausted, but filled with memories to last a lifetime.
