Walnut Springs Families Work Together to Solve Math Problems

Before venturing off to math stations which were set up throughout the school, A Blendon pupil and his father stop to guess how many jelly beans are in the jar. 



Family Middle School Math Night drew a big crowd at Walnut Springs on Thursday evening, January 14.  The focus of the event was for middle school students and parents to experience team roles in problem solving situations, while enjoying each other’s company.  Families gathered in the cafeteria to receive maps which led them to half a dozen stations set up throughout the school, including activities like CPM Textbook 101, Fun Math Books & Articles, Life Size Battleship and other games, All Squared Up, Newspaper Network and Fraction Design. 

Snacks and raffle prizes were offered as the event concluded.
