Sixth grade math classes at Walnut Springs spent the last few days of school collaborating with their peers to make boats out of recycled materials.  Each class received one roll of duct tape and a few materials from their teachers.  Students had to research and choose a design, and then build the boat as a class – a true test of team work!  The winning team paddled across the Highland Park pool in 46 seconds on the last day of school, May 21.
