Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year!  My name is Anne Bates, and I will be your child's grade 6 Math Lab, Literacy Skills and Career Exploration and/or SSR Teacher.

 I am proud to say that I am a product of Westerville.  As a student, I attended Longfellow, Whittier, Hanby, Walnut Springs and Westerville North High School.  I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education and received my Masters Degree from Ashland University. I started my career in the Reynoldsburg City School District before coming to Westerville.  I have taught at Westerville North High School, Blendon Middle School and Heritage Middle School.  The best part of my career is watching students transform and grow into people with P.R.I.D.E.   (Purpose, Respect, Independence, Discipline and Evaluate)

My husband, Tim, also a teacher and coach at Westerville South live in Westerville and have loved raising our 4 children in the Westerville c ommunity.
