The Westerville City School District’s nurses are working with local agencies to help students get their required vaccinations.

Under Ohio law, all students in 7th grade are required to have up-to-date Meningitis and Tdap vaccinations while those in 12th grade must have up-to-date Meningitis vaccinations, with exemptions for medical, religious, and philosophical reasons.

To help students, the nurses have organized a drive-up Tdap and Meningitis vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at the grassy area near the entrance of Westerville South High School.

Nurses are also planning a flu shot clinic for the district; additional details will be forthcoming.

Students unsure if they have the updated required vaccinations should talk to their families and update their records at school.
