Westerville Education Foundation’s Artful Affair Raises more than $95,000

The Westerville Education Foundation (WEF) announced that the community raised more than $95,000 over the weekend at An Artful Affair, Presented by Education First Credit Union, Mount Carmel St. Ann’s and Alliance Data.  This funding will support innovative programming in Westerville City Schools.

Nearly 250 attendees gathered at the Lakes Golf and Country Club on April 27 for this gala event, which included live and silent art auctions, live music, food, drinks and fun.  More than $4,000 was raised from the sale of artwork created by local celebrities and community leaders.  Pieces created by Mayor Craig Treneff, Council Chair Michael Heyeck and Dr. Nancy Nestor-Baker of the Westerville Board of Education each raised approximately $800.  This funding will go to the WEF’s newly formed Westerville Student Education Foundation (WSEF).  The link to the video created by the students of the WSEF can be viewed at https://youtu.be/4RaZKsQ2rvI.
