The word of the month at Heritage is Tolerance.  Students are learning ways to develop and practice their tolerance and PRIDE daily through many school wide initiatives.  Pupils were treated to a Lunch and Learn where guest Skip Weiler, president of the Robert Weiler Company, spoke about character in commercial real estate and pride in career and community.  The youngsters learned that developing good character and following your dreams now is the key to financial and personal success in the future.

Students who earned a grade point average of 3.3 to 4.0 for quarter 1 and followed all of the principles of PRIDE (Purpose, Respect, Independence and Evaluation) were eligible to apply to attend the PRIDE pancake breakfast prepared by the staff on Friday, November 4.  They enjoyed the entertainment, pancake flipping, and motivational messages of assistant principal Rodney Johnson and teacher Marty Wicks.  They were also eligible to receive more than $400 worth of prizes including school supplies, front-of-the-lunch-line passes, gift cards and tickets to a Columbus Blue Jackets game.  294 students qualified for this activity.
