It is with great sadness that we share the passing of a member of our Westerville City Schools family. Kitti Slusarz, a retired Hawthorne teacher and current district sub, passed away unexpected on Saturday, February 7, 2015. A visitation and service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, at Shoedinger Funeral Home in Gahanna, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Visitation and a remembrance of life ceremony will occur from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; the eulogy ceremony will take place from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
We ask you to share this information with anyone else who knew Kitti so that they also may have a chance to celebrate her life and say goodbye. Please keep Kitti, as well as her family and friends, in your thoughts and prayers. Kitti loved to read with students and a memorial fund will be established to support a literacy project at Hawthorne Elementary.
