Two Westerville students received honors at the statewide competition held at Ohio Wesleyan University on April 27.
Sidney Choo, from Genoa Middle School, received third place in the Junior Individual Website category for the project, Fall of Saigon: More Tragedy Out of Triumph. Leslie Thompson and Deanna McDaniel were the teachers.
Sammy Gurgiolo, from Heritage Middle School, received honorable mention in the Junior Individual Documentary category for Operation Dynamo: The Tragedy that Never Was. Jacob Thuman was the teacher.
More than 750 students competed with some 400 projects in this statewide competition.
