Westerville City Schools will host its thirteenth annual LEGO Competition on Saturday, March 16, in the main gymnasium at Westerville North High School, located at 950 County Line Road.  Registration starts at 10:00 a.m., followed by LEGO building (from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.), judging (11:30 – 12:05 p.m), and an awards ceremony (12:05 - 12:30 p.m.).

Originally, the competition was open to Westerville City Schools and St. Paul students in grades K-5.  Last year, event organizers added a Middle School category, so students in grades 6-8 were also invited to participate.  This year, a high school category has been added as well.  Competitors can build anything they want, but must bring their own LEGO materials to do so.  Nothing can be pre-built prior to the event and no LEGO directions or pictures will be permitted.  Parental assistance is not allowed, but a designated viewing area will be provided.  Participants will be given precisely one hour to build, and will have a space to do so (4 ft. x 4 ft. for K-8, 6 ft. x 6 ft. for 9-12).  Prizes will be awarded and all participants will receive a certificate of participation.    Beverages and food items will be available for purchase during the event.

Registration costs $10 and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.  All proceeds will benefit the Westerville North Marching Band.  To learn more and register, please visit https://tinyurl.com/WCSLEGO.  For questions, please contact Nick Pelfrey at PelfreyN@westerville.k12.oh.us.
