Great families do great things, and sometimes that gets noticed. On April 3, one of those families with children in the Westerville City School District received the 2016 Future LifeCare Alliance Leader Spirit Award for delivering Meals on Wheels to clients in the Short North and Grandview area for the past six years. At that event, the Eastman family was honored at a dinner and awarded a plaque commemorating their volunteer spirit. Family members include parents Chris Eastman and Claire Curran Eastman; Emma Eastman (grade 7, Bexley Middle School); Owen Curran (grade 8, Genoa Middle School); Keira Curran (grade 6, Genoa Middle School); Blake Eastman (grade 9, Bexley High School); and Colin Curran (grade 10, Westerville South High School).
