108 Compete in Westerville’s Middle School Science Fair – 38 Move on to Districts

On Saturday, February 11, Walnut Springs hosted its annual Science Fair.  There was a total of 108 participants from all three Westerville middle schools plus a fifth grade class from Emerson Elementary.  Seventy-nine students competed in the individual category and 37 worked in teams.  The 38 pupils who received Superior scores will be moving on to the District Science Fair at Columbus State on March 18.  Four Westerville competitors earned a perfect score of 40 – Abby Williams (grade 6), Elise Drugan (grade 7) and Emily Voneman (grade 8), all from Walnut Springs; along with seventh grade Genoa student Kyra Lesmerises.
