National Junior Honor Society members at Genoa Middle School recently joined forces with former Jaguar Claire Drum to collect shoes for Funds2Orgs.  The fundraising and service project netted some 500 pairs of shoes which will be donated and used to develop and sustain micro-businesses in under-developed nations.  Families in these countries who receive the shoes have little to no income or livelihood.  The footwear, and its ability to be sold or repurposed, represent a micro-enterprise opportunity for individuals and their communities.  The project was coordinated by math teacher Katie Paolini.
