National award winning author and storyteller Jim Flanagan conducted a writing workshop with Genoa Middle School eighth graders on December 14. The workshop was interactive and fun all while focusing on writing skills. Flanagan teaches multiple writing workshops at the Thurber House, in downtown Columbus. The students enjoyed hearing some of his humorous stories, while learning how to make writing fun. The event was organized by Genoa language arts teachers Stacey Dettwiller, Ashley Frownfelter, Jodi Russell, and Brandy Spears.
