On Friday morning, January 16, eighth grade students at Genoa Middle School participated in the annual Junior Achievement (JA) Day, sponsored by Alliance Data.  Pupils learned about careers, budgeting, credit and insurance, thanks to volunteers from Alliance Data, who engaged them in discussions, instruction, reflective writing, mathematical calculations, and instructional board games.  JA is committed to developing and implementing programs that empower young people’s future success by helping them become entrepreneurial thinkers, financially capable, and work ready.

The event was organized by teachers Ashley Frownfelter and Shannan McCreary.
