On Saturday, April 27, the Blendon Middle School choir competed in the Kings Island Music Showcase Festival competition.  Not only did the choir receive first place in the middle school choir division, they also received the Grand Champion designation out of all the choirs that competed, including high school groups.

Their score was the highest of all participants that competed that day.  Eighth grade pupil Olivia Wheeler received Outstanding Soloist.  Kristen Wright (a music teacher at Alcott Elementary) and her husband, Casey, were awarded Outstanding Percussion.

After the competition, choir members, teachers and chaperones relaxed at the park.  “The Blendon choir members have made huge progress this year and they should be very proud of this accomplishment," said vocal music teacher Joshua Ice.
