Westerville City Schools will host its twelfth annual LEGO Competition on Saturday, March 10, in the main gymnasium at Westerville North High School, located at 950 County Line Road.  Registration starts at 10:00 a.m., followed by LEGO building, judging, and an awards ceremony from noon to 12:30 p.m.

The competition has always been open to Westerville City Schools and St. Paul students in grades K-5.  New this year, event organizers are adding a Middle School category, so students in grades 6-8 are also invited to participate.  Competitors can build anything they want, but must bring their own LEGO materials to do so.  Nothing can be pre-built prior to the event and no LEGO directions or pictures will be permitted.  Parental assistance is not allowed, but a designated viewing area will be provided.  Participants will be given precisely one hour to build, and will have a space to do so that is no greater than four feet x four feet.  Prizes will be awarded.  Beverages and food items will be available for purchase during the event.

Registration costs $10, and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.  All proceeds will benefit the Westerville North Marching Band.  To learn more and register, please visit https://tinyurl.com/WCSLEGO2018.  Questions should be directed to Maria Soisson at soissonm@wcsoh.org
