Three hundred and one Blendon Middle School students earned 1st Quarter 2017-2018 Renaissance awards.  They received certificates and got to enjoy an afternoon of skating, laser tag and video games at Skate Zone 71.  In order to qualify, pupils must meet high standards in academics, community service, attendance, attitude, and school spirit.

Their names were also entered into a raffle drawing featuring a variety of wonderful prizes donated by local businesses and PTO parents, including Renaissance t-shirts from Blendon Principal Kendall Harris; and gift cards from Anthony Thomas, Cheryl’s Cookies, Chiller Ice Rink, City BBQ, Cold Stone Creamery, Dairy Queen, Donato’s Pizza, Fazoli’s Italian Restaurant, Graeter’s Ice Cream, Little Caesar’s, Marcus Theatre, Old Skool Skateboards, Skate Zone 71, Soccer Plus, Westerville Recreation Center, and former PTO Member Carla Tedeschi.  The Grand Prize was a $50 gift card from Star Lanes Bowling.

2017-2018 marks the 8th school year for the Blendon Renaissance Awards Program, which would not be possible without the continued support of local and national businesses, Blendon parents, and the Blendon PTO.
