Student members of Builder’s Club and Student Council at Blendon Middle School collected more than $800 this year for the Pennies for Patients program, sponsored by the Lymphoma and Leukemia Association. This included a penny war that was won by the 8th grade class.
To add some excitement to this year’s competition, 8th grade students got the opportunity to participate in throwing cream pies at some of their favorite teachers for winning the competition by raising the most money in their science classes.
