A student and his mother work together in preparation for upcoming Ohio State Tests.

Parents and students at Wilder Elementary School recently joined their third grade teachers for a pizza dinner and preparation workshop for the spring Ohio State Tests (OST).  As a pre-dinner activity, families solved division problems in order to win their pizzas.  During dinner, families worked on solving math problems derived from the items in front of them, such as pretzel arrays and cases of water.  Parents were provided additional information and resources to understand the OST and support learning at home.  The evening concluded with a creative activity, making inspirational t-shirts for the students to wear on testing days.  Wilder families who attended enjoyed lots of food, fun and learning.
