Nicole Price and her second graders had the playground all to themselves, which was blanketed in a fresh coating of snow.
Many people have been complaining about this year’s wicked winter weather but for some, like second grade students in Nichole Price’s class at Wilder Elementary School, the snow that fell last week presented a wonderful opportunity to play. Price promised her kids if it snowed and was warm enough, she would take them outdoors to frolic with her in the snow during recess. The youngsters had the entire playground to themselves as they made trails, snow angels, mountains, and chased each other. Price said she hopes to have a snow recess again!
