Many individuals have been volunteering at Wilder for several years.

On Wednesday, November 29, Wilder Elementary School personnel organized a breakfast to thank their Pioneer Pals and Lunch Bunch volunteers.  These two groups have been spending time with students for the past five years.

Pioneer Pals are volunteers from the Westerville Senior Center who come to work with first graders.  The same group has been visiting Wilder for five years, so the teachers and volunteers have created a special bond.  They work with the same students throughout the entire school year.

The Lunch Bunch comes from the Columbus Tutoring Initiative.  They work with second graders once a week during their lunch/recess time.  These volunteers also pair up with the same children all year long.

Volunteers at Wilder make a huge impact on pupils there.  Educators are very grateful for the time and energy they spend with the youngsters.
