Leadership students from Wilder helped appreciative furry friends at the Franklin County Dog Shelter.

Wilder Elementary School Leadership Summit students visited the Franklin County Dog Shelter February 9.  The pupils collected various items for the shelter, including peanut butter, dog treats, and towels.  They also hosted a spirit week where they collected over $500 to donate to the shelter.  These children spent a lot of time promoting their project and it really paid off.  They were able to take a field trip to the dog shelter where they were given a tour of the facility and got to meet some cute pups that were up for adoption.  These students were given the opportunity to see how their hard work and donations were going to be used to help the shelter.  Organizers agreed it was a great experience for all.
