Another successful Honor Flight took place on Saturday, September 19, when 76 World War II and Korean Conflict veterans traveled, with their escorts, to Washington, D.C. to see monuments in honor of their service to our country.  A number of Westerville pupils and educators served as guardians.  They are:  students Connor Vermillion (Westerville North), Prestin Minter   (Westerville Central) and Lauren Kennedy (Westerville South); and staff members Paula Dalton (Westerville South), John Sands (Westerville North), Susannah Lee (Westerville Central), Lisa  Reschke (Cherrington Elementary) Craig Eberhard and Laura Thornton (Early Learning Center).  All returned home to a rousing welcome from hundreds of community members who gathered at Port Columbus.  To donate to Honor Flight or learn more about how to get involved, please visit
