Featuring music from coast to coast and border to border, the Westerville Community Band (WCB) is pleased to present its annual Young Person’s Concert on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at Westerville Central High School (WCHS), 7118 Mount Royal Ave.

The day’s festivities during this free event begin as early as 2:15 p.m. in the WCHS commons with a performance of the newly-formed Westerville Big Band. Also during this time, Uptown Westerville’s Music & Arts will have a variety of instruments available for young, budding musicians to try. Children of all ages, including adults who are young at heart, are encouraged to play and learn more about these instruments during the WCB’s “petting zoo” of band instruments.

At 3 p.m., the show moves into the WCHS auditorium as the finest band musicians from Westerville North, South and Central high schools join together to form the Westerville City School District High School Honors Band. These musicians, along with the Westerville Concert Band and the Westerville Big Band, will take audience members on a musical journey that they will fondly remember for years to come. Join the fun and enjoy this performance of some of the most memorable, toe-tapping American music made popular from the east coast to the west coast, and from north of the Mason-Dixon line into the deep south.
