Whittier Singers Entertain at the Alum Creek Park Amphitheater

Whittier families enjoyed hearing their children sing outside in the Alum Creek Amphitheater.

 

 

 

The Whittier Singers, a fourth and fifth grade after-school choir, presented a choral showcase titled Putting It Together: A Celebration of 2017-2018 on Friday evening, May 11.  The family performance took place at 6:30 p.m. at the amphitheater in Alum Creek Park.  The showcase consisted of student-selected pieces along with highlights from their 2017-2018 performances, including Opening Up (from Waitress), Lost Boy, Grown-Up Christmas List, Breakaway, The Schuyler Sisters (from Hamilton), Brave, A Thousand Years, Believer, We Gather Here Together (Whittier school song), and Something Wild (from Disney’s Pete’s DragonThroughout the season, the group was directed by Evan McIntyre, who said, “The students inspire me each day and I can’t wait to see the possibilities ahead of us.”
