The Westerville Education Foundation (WEF) is thrilled to announce that An Artful Affair, presented by Education First Credit Union and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s, is already breaking records when compared to previous WEF fundraising initiatives.

To date, more than 50 sponsors have generated more than $56,000.  With one week remaining until the event, An Artful Affair is now the largest single fundraiser in the foundation’s 25-year history.

“The support for this event shows how much the Westerville community cares about our students and our staff,” said Westerville City Schools Superintendent Dr. John Kellogg.  “Education First Credit Union and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s lead the way with their sponsorships and the response from the community has been incredible.  We can’t thank them enough.”

The event quickly has become Westerville’s largest art auction, boasting nearly 100 pieces of high quality artwork from professional, practicing and student artists from Westerville and Central Ohio.

“We have some exciting pieces from well-known local artists like Dennis Rano and David Myers, as well as some outstanding work from talented student artists attending Westerville Schools,” said Jan Fedorenko, WEF Board member and chair of art acquisition for An Artful Affair.  “Attendees will have a wide variety of artists and mediums to bid on at the event in both live auction and silent auction formats.”

An Artful Affair will be held from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at the Lakes Golf and Country Club.  Join the WEF for this inspirational adult evening with food, drinks, live and silent auctions and live music.  Attendees will enjoy live music from local jazz artists Change it Up Charlie, and Westerville harpist, Trista Hill. Tickets cost $60 per person and $100 per couple.  Tickets are limited to 300, so purchase your ticket today at  https://artfulaffair2018.eventbrite.com
