Students at Whittier Elementary hosted a coffeehouse style performance titled Share the Love on Friday evening, February 23. The show was hosted by the Whittier Singers, a fourth and fifth grade after-school choir, and featured acts by third, fourth, and fifth grade students. These acts included a variety of vocal numbers, dance and gymnastics routines, and instrumental pieces including Lost Boy, A Thousand Years, Radioactive, Happy, and Opening Up from the musical Waitress. Audience members enjoyed sweets and treats, while celebrating the artistic talents of the children. Proceeds from the event will go to support future performances and opportunities for all students at Whittier Elementary. Evan McIntyre directed the program.
