Second grade Whittier Elementary student Cameron Moore had artwork chosen for exhibition in the 2017 OAEA Youth Art Month Show.  Nolan Rough, grade 5, had artwork selected for the 2017 OAEA Young People’s Art Exhibition.  Both exhibitions represent Ohio students in grades kindergarten through eighth.  Moore’s painting is on display at the State Teacher’s Retirement Systems Building (STRS) in downtown Columbus from February 27h – March 26.  Rough’s mixed media piece was on display at Rhodes State Office Tower in downtown Columbus from February 27 - March 17.  The Youth Art Month Exhibition and Young People’s Art Exhibition are juried shows that select artwork from nine regions of the state that represent OAEA (Ohio Art Educator’s Association).

In addition, Brooklyn Hogenbirk and Leonard Mensa each had artwork selected for the Central Ohio Art Exhibition.  Their work is on display in the lower level of the Rhodes Tower until the end of the month.

Reception and awards ceremonies were held on Saturday, March 11 for the young artists, their families and teachers.
