Hundreds of friends and family members gathered in the Whittier Elementary School gymnasium on Friday evening, February 17, to enjoy a student-hosted, coffee-house-style performance titled, Share the Love.  The show featured The Whittier Singers (a fourth and fifth grade after-school choir) along with dozens of individual numbers by third, fourth, and fifth grade pupils, all directed by Evan McIntyre.  These acts include a variety of vocal numbers, dance routines, jokes, and instrumental pieces ranging from classics like Put A Little Love in Your Heart and Old-Time Rock & Roll to current songs like Can’t Stop The Feeling and “Frozen’s” Love Is An Open Door.  Audience members enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate, and desserts while celebrating the artistic talents of the youngsters.  Proceeds from the evening will support future productions and opportunities for Whittier students.
