The first day of classes for all middle school students is Thursday, August 18.
This year the Westerville City School District will begin collecting Emergency Medical and Parent Permission forms through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. All forms should be completed online, including the Emergency Medical Form, the Student Code of Conduct, the Publicity Consent Form, and the Walking Field Trip form. Parents and guardians of returning students should have already created a PowerSchool Parent Portal account to access student information. Please contact your school office if you have forgotten your login information or if you have a student new to the district and have not yet created your account.
School fees are not due until October 2016. Payment can be made by EZPay, check, cash or money order.
- Blendon’s schedule pick-up dates are August 10 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Schedules may also be picked up August 11 from 10:00 a.m. - noon. There will be a new student orientation August 10 at 6:00 p.m. in the Gymnasium. School and I.D pictures will be taken during schedule pick-up. Please look for your picture packages in the mail. Curriculum night will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1.
- Genoa students may pick up their schedules on August 9 from 3:00 - 6:30 p.m. for grade 6 only. School and I.D. pictures for 6th graders will be taken during schedule pick-up. Please check the mail for picture packages from HRImaging. Students new to Westerville and 6th graders who did not attend Moving Up Night in the spring will have an opportunity to meet the administration of Genoa at a brief informational gathering in the gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. on August 9. Schedule pick-up sessions for 7th and 8th grade students will be August 10 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. School and I.D. pictures for 7th and 8th graders will be taken during schedule pick-up. Curriculum Night will be held August 25 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
- Heritage 6th graders only should plan to pick up their schedules in the commons on Wednesday, August 10 from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. School and I.D. pictures will be taken on Friday August 19 during the school day. Students in grades 7 and 8 can attend schedule pick up on Thursday, August 11 from 2:00 - 6:30. School and I.D. pictures will be taken during schedule pick-ups. Please look for picture packages in the mail. Curriculum night will take place at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1.
- Walnut Springs schedule pick-up will take place on August 10 from 3:00 - 6:30 p.m. for grade six only. An orientation program will be held that evening at 6:30 p.m. for new students and sixth graders. The annual hot dog party for new students will also be held on August 10, from 7:15 - 7:45 p.m. on the football field. Schedule pick-up for seventh and eighth grade students will be August 11 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Pictures will be taken during schedule pick-up. Curriculum Night will be held August 30 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
