The mood was festive on Thursday evening, October 25, as friends and members of the Westerville Education Foundation (WEF), along with Westerville City Schools personnel, gathered at the Old Bag of Nails to celebrate WEF’s silver anniversary.  The organization has spent the last 25 years providing exceptional learning opportunities to students in the school district and supporting innovation in classrooms.  Since its founding in 1993, WEF has funded 235 grants and district initiatives amounting to $200,524.  They also launched GAP in 2014, which harnessed the power of technology to bring online funding opportunities to Westerville City School District educators.  In 2015, they fully funded the startup of the Student Connections.  The organization was honored by the Board of Education on September 24.
