The Spring Dash 5K will take place on Saturday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m. at Westerville Central High School, located at 7118 Mount Royal Avenue.  Registration includes an event tech t-shirt and finisher’s medal.  For more information, please visit www.SpringDash5K.com.

The Spring Dash 5K is a fundraiser to raise money for a path to be paved around the perimeter of Robert Frost Elementary School’s lot.  The new path will connect the east and south portions to existing sidewalks that will create a half mile loop.  This path will be instrumental in the growth of the Fit Frosties Club; will support class activities; will provide walking and running options for recess; and will be available to the Westerville community outside of school hours.  100% of sponsorship monies and all race proceeds will go directly toward this campus improvement.

The Fit Frosties are a unique group of Robert Frost students, wonderful teachers, and enthusiastic parent volunteers who work together for the betterment of the school community.  Membership is free and it is operated solely by volunteers.  In the spirit of competition, self-described “crazy” Physical Education teacher Eric Indiciani has personally pledged to run one mile on the path’s proposed route for every $1,000 raised, stating, “I would be thrilled to be faced with the challenge of 32+ miles this spring – yes, a continuous ultra-marathon distance on the proposed half mile loop, so bring on the pain!  Please join us in celebrating the freedom to get out and get fit while supporting a great addition to the community!”
